Product Description |
Mandelic Acid is extracted from the bitter almond and is an alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA). Alpha hydroxy acids speed up the cellular turnover rate, ridding the skin of dead skill cells that enhance the natural creases in skin and dull the complexion. Mandelic Acid is the largest aromatic AHA. Since it has a large molecular size, it is less of an irritant, making it even more popular than glycolic acid in skin care. It is suitable for all skin types and complexions. ● AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) action: Acts as a chemical exfoliant, helping to make the skin smoother. ● Fruit acids have evolved from the first generation to the third generation: ◎First-generation fruit acids (AHAs) such as glycolic acid, traditional fruit acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, and citric acid have a simple chemical structure, high skin permeability, and noticeable effects, but they can be highly stimulating. Some reference products containing Mandelic Acid may include:Complex Acid、Malic Acid、DL-Mandelic Acid、Mandelic Acid Solution 5%、Citric Acid Monohydrate ◎Second-generation fruit acids (PHAs) add hydroxyl groups to make the molecular structure larger, reducing irritation and providing excellent moisturizing effects. Examples include gluconolactone (gluconic acid lactone), suitable for mature skin to delay aging. Some reference products containing Mandelic Acid may include:Glucono-delta-lactone ◎Third-generation (BAs) adds larger molecules, making them the mildest and least irritating, while also offering moisturizing effects. Examples include lactobionic acid and maltobionic acid. ●杏仁酸 Mandelic Acid Also known as bitter almond acid, it has a benzene ring chemical structure, making it more skin-friendly. With a molecular weight of 152.1 Da, it has relatively mild skin penetration, resulting in lower irritation when used. ●Current regulations specify that cosmetic products containing fruit acid ingredients must not have a pH value lower than 3.5. However, for rinse-off hair care products with fruit acid concentrations below 3%, their pH value can be between 3.2 and 3.5. The usage precautions must be indicated on the product packaging. Simple DIY Application : AHA Exfoliating Toner Glucono-delta-lactone:0.5g:Link DL-Mandelic Acid:2.5g Witch Hazel Extract:5g:Link Roman Chamomile Water:92g:Link 【作法】 Simply add the ingredients in order and mix well. You can use pH test strips(Link)to ensure the pH level is between 4-7, which is ideal. If it becomes too acidic, you can adjust it by adding Triethanolamine (link). |
