Description

Glycyrrhetinic Acid is obtained by hydrolysis of Glycyrrhicinate from the roots of Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). The most important active ingredients of Liquorice are Saponins of triterpens. It is a white powder for personal care and cosmetic formulations.

Due to its structure Glycyrrhetinic Acid has a multiple efficacy when applied orally or topically. This effect will continue for a long time after the application of the formulation with Glycyrrhetinic Acid will be stopped. The different efficacies make the use of Glycyrrhetinic Acid in Cosmetic formulations very interesting.
